Wicked celebrated its ten-year Broadway run in late 2013. One of only ten other shows to reach the decade milestone, Broadway's biggest blockbuster cast a spell on Nashville audiences by selling out in 2009 and 2011. So when Tennessee Performing Arts Center (TPAC) announced that Wicked would return to Nashville stages for a four-week engagement March 26 - April 20, we were flying high- defying gravity one might say.

So we're betting you are wondering just when you can get tickets. Well, tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday January 24 but O&AN has teamed up with TPAC for a special presale for O&AN readers. Beginning today, Friday January 17, readers can log on and get their Wicked tickets before the rest of Nashville.

For those who may be living under a rock for the last ten years, Wicked is based on the best-selling 1995 novel by Gregory Maguire, and is the untold story of the witches of Oz. Long before Dorothy drops in, two other girls meet in the Land of Oz. One – born with emerald-green skin – is smart, fiery and misunderstood. The other is beautiful, ambitious and very popular. WICKED tells the story of their remarkable odyssey, and how these two unlikely friends grow to become the Wicked Witch of the West and Glinda the Good.

“The national tour of WICKED is a phenomenon that continues to captivate Nashville audiences,” said Kathleen O’Brien, TPAC president and chief executive officer. “Each of the show’s previous three-week engagements here at TPAC was seen by more than 57,000 people, and it remains one of the most requested titles each year. We are absolutely thrilled to have it back – and with an additional week to accommodate the public demand."
